I recently bought a Armor Network Drive HDD Enclosure () and put an 80G Seagate into it. The instructions say it must be fat32 and it works with Win 98, NT, 200 and XP. I've put it on my network and it works great with the 3 XP machines - but with Vista Home Premium!!!!!!
It will access the first directory level (Public) and any files there, but it won't (can't) open any folders below that. When I do try to access one of those folders it takes about 5 minutes before it says it can't access the folder, then the XP machines lose access. If I switch off the drive then restart the XP machines I regain access. I can access the drive on the Vista machine with a USB cable, but the network access then won't work.
